Hi guys,

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Very new. Our very first chicks are almost 3 weeks old.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
8

(3) What breeds do you have?
Easter Eggers

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They’ve only been in the house so far...they’re fun to watch

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
DIY, reading, biking, spending time at the beach, garden

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I’m a pediatric critical care RN with a Husband, 2 kids (4 and 12), 3 dogs (Belgian Malinois) , 2 mini pigs, and now 8 chickens! So basically I run a circus that looks like a mini farm in a sleepy little beach town. We call it beachsteading.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Online search, a couple of months, I’m always reading/learning so much from the posts.
