Hi fellow chicken lovers!

I have had chickens for 3 years. I am currently up to 22 chickens, though some are 5 week old chicks and the roo cannot stay where I live.

I started with Swedish Flowers Hens (still favorite breed thus far). Though I like all my chickens to look different so I have added a few other breeds to get a variety of feathers and eggs: Wheaton Ameracauna, EE, Andalusian, Copper Maran, Bielefelder, Golden Cuckoo Maran, and Cream Legbar. 😊

My favorite part of chickens is the fresh eggs!

I also participate is a variety of dog sports with my border collies.

I found BYC when using google to find answers to my chicken questions. I finally figured I should join in all the fun!

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. Apart from that, loads of dog people here - handlers, judges, breeders, field trialers, utility, search and rescue, drug detection, sadly "cadaver dogs". You name it.
Had a friend years ago that bred and showed border collies. There was a joke," how many Border collies does it take to change a light bulb." Answer: "One and then he will rewire the entire house!" She had some qreat dogs.
I got carried away. Just gave myself a face slap :smack. Thank you for joining us at BYC, the place for fun, friendship and facts about chickens. You are very welcome here.
