(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens. Technically I got my first chicken on Friday, May 29th. I put my first egg in the incubator on May 11th.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have two baby chicks. I have Five in the incubator-three have hatched, waiting on two.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I think one is a Buff Orpington and the other a Black Australorp. I don't know the breed of my baby chicks. I guess they are just mixed barnyard chicks. They came from my sister's chickens.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I grew up with chickens next door to my house. I guess they make me feel like home.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Just started my first quilt, something my mom did as I was growing up and I always wanted to do.
