Thanks to everyone for the warm welcomes. Just wanted to update my earlier thread about the neighbors' chickens. We've discovered that our neighbors' next door neighbor's dog has also killed some other chickens, as well as harassing neighborhood horses. No acceptable response by the dog's owner, but the authorities are looking into it. The really good news is that the children that hatched the chicks and loved them are willing to try again. So they will be incubating a batch soon. Thanks again for all your responses when I first posted.
