Hello,
We raise chickens in our backyard in Richmond, California. We also steward bees (Warre-style), and care for a good collection of fruit trees, veggies, and native plants.
Have had chickens since 2010, raise for eggs, their poop, and high entertainment value!
Currently only have 3, about to get some chicks from the feedstore - so, back to the adventure of raising chicks and integrating with the others, something I haven't done for a few years. Trying to get all the stuff together and remember how to do it, and figure out whether we'll regret doing it at this time of year!
Glad to be back at BYC - I spent SOOO much time here in 2009-2010 when I was first starting out on the backyard chicken adventure!
