Hello. My name is Jada,I dont think I'm new to chickens anymore because I've been rasing them for about 6 years now.I first got chickens when I was about 10/11 years old, which was when I decided to start feeding the wild chickens that was in my backyard.
I would say I have about 30 chickens at the moment and one duck. I'm not sure what breed they are since they are wild chickens that I tamed over the years. My favorite aspect would be when your watching them eat and the noises that they make as well as when the hens get new babies and you watch them grow. An additional bonus that I've noticed the past couple years is that the chickens scare away the iguanas.
My other hobbies are bartending, swimming and reading. I'm the second eldest out of five children and I live with my mom and dad. My occupation at the moment is counter service but I hope to go off to college in about a year to pursue forensic pathology.
I found BYC via the internet when one of my chickens had worms and your forums really helped and ive been using it ever since. Ive known about BYC for about 4 or 5 year now. I finally decided to join this community because I wanted to see more of it and not just from n outside perspective.
