Introduction

Hi, I'm Dragon Slayer Trinket. I joined BackYard Chickens yesterday.
I am not new to chickens. My family has raised them since I was little, and now I raise them.
I currently have 31 chickens; 28 hens, three roosters. Two Guinea fowl, six ducks, five chicks, one gosling, and five goose eggs about to go into lockdown!
Breeds? Too many! Americaunas, Oliveggers, Salmon Favorelles, Barred Plymouth Rocks, Rhode Island Reds, Several mixes, Lavendar Orpingtons, Silkies, Dark Brahmas, and I've owned many more! I'm not sure what type of Guineas I have. I have two blue Swedish ducks, one white Swede, two black Cayugas, and one Indian Runner. Two Polish chicks, Two Silver-Laced Wyandotte chicks, and one mystery black. She's either a cuckoo Maran or a black Jersey Giant. My gosling is a Pomeranian, and my soon-to-hatch eggs are pure Toulouse, Toulouse-Pomeranian, and Toulouse-Chinese.
I love that when you raise birds yourself, they are incredibly sweet. Also, I get to name all of them, and I take it very seriously. The two cutest pairings I have are my two guineas (Quigley and Crazy Cora) and three of my chicks (Mirabel, Isabella, and Luisa). The two Polish are cute too, though. Pilecki and Sobieski.
Writing is my biggest passion. I write original stories, fanfiction, and I've done some articles. I also draw (mostly African animals), and read. I'm a big CD listener as well.
I have all my birds, of course, but I also have an Irish wolfhound and yellow lab. Several cats. More cute pairings there! Remus and Nymphadora, Ghost and Darkness, Albus and Severus... Someday I will have a peacock, and I will name him Le Chiffre. I also fortell a Russian Orloff named Ramius.
I learned about BYC a few weeks ago as I researched goose egg incubation. I joined because I can tell that you all are a wonderful, experienced, and kind community.
Welcome from St. Louis, Missouri!

I also have Irish Wolfhounds and just lost my Lab, as well as have Cayugas and Indian Runner Ducks! My two male Irish Wolfhounds are Quinn and Aiden, now 7 and 8 years old. I LOVE giant and large breeds. Our family adores Leonbergers and we've had them for 22 years. We also have 8 rescue dogs. Most were not adoptable and abandoned by rescues on me. They live with our horses and ducks on 24 acres.
