1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Somewhat new. Second family of chickens. Had the first batch a year but one by one predators got them, (mainly hawks).
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Currently have 11 chickens in a brand new hawk proof coop!
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have no idea lol all different. I wish I actually knew. My daughter picked them all out from Rual King.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
We have grown to love them as our pets. We love spending time with them and of course we love that we get eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Sewing and traditional cooking.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I have 5 children. Three are married. One a junior in college playing ball. And a 13 yr old daughter who is our resident animal lover.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
