Hello - I'm from Connecticut. I have had chickens the past couple of years and have learned a lot on this site. I currently have 5 chickens, an American Standard, White Brahma, Buff, Comet, and I have no idea what the last one is but she is personality plus. I am currently looking for a rooster to adopt. I rehomed a rooster last year because I was afraid he was bothering the neighbors, but the neighbors on both sides of me have since told me they miss hearing him in the mornings. I also hope to increase the number of chickens I have by 3, but I want to adopt rather than getting newly hatched as I did last time. I'm looking forward to retiring early next year, so I'll have plenty of time to spend with them along with my three dogs. I've got lots of plans and projects. My sister thinks I'm crazy - why don't I want to travel and see the world when I retire? Honestly, I rather just enjoy my home and pets.
