Hello! I am new to BYC and here is some info about me! I have owned chickens since the spring of 2020. I currently have 42 chickens of a variety of ages. We have a lot of differentWelc breeds because we love the variety of egg colors and looks of different breeds. We have all standard sized breeds. My favorite part of raising chickens is watching them and seeing their different personalities. People who don’t own chickens or don’t have a good connection with their chickens do not understand what I mean by this. If you watch each chicken closely then it is really neat to see their different personalities. Some of the other hobbies I enjoy are riding horses and skiing. I also enjoy drawing. I have three horses, a dog, and 4 barn cats in addition to the chickens. I found BYC when I have done research on chickens in the past. I finally decided to join BYC because I had a question about one of my hens. I look forward to learning more and talking about chickens through BYC!

Welcome. I get it. My husband wanted chickens for meat sustainability. I ended up being the one to take care of them and fall in love with them. Needless to say, they will never be anything less than members of our family
