I live in South Mobile County. This is my first year having chickens. So far, so good! I am getting concerned about the few times we will have freezing temps though. I want to make sure I am prepared.

We are east of you in Covington County, AL and have had up to 3 nights in a row of 15° temps and adult chickens never seemed to notice. They came off their roosts and started their day looking for greens to eat and bug once they thawed out. As long as they have wind breaks to help with drafts you should not have any problems with winter temps.
