Hi, at the moment I don't own any birds but I am looking to get into backyard Farming. I am looking to keep somewhere around 5 to 8 chickens. I have done some research and know roughly what size Coop and run I will need. Unfortunately my neighbors have territorial dogs and I don't feel safe Free-ranging. If everything goes according to plan, hopefully I will have a permit from my county to build my chicken coop by next month.

Luckily they have fenced in yards. I just don't want the birds getting too close and being grabbed through the fence or being airborne long enough to get over the fence. Also my county codes state that I can't have any " freestanding" structures within 10 ft. Of the property line so if I keep to that they should be safe.
