Hello! Welcome to BYC! GLW and Light Brahmas are nice birds we have them both!

The Gold Laced Wyandotte's were our 1st chickens. From checking them out the hens were supposed to be up to 6 Lbs. We got them from a hatchery and sold by a far supply nearby. We were disappointed in that they are not a good bloodline with the hens being between 2-3 Lbs. each. We have 7 hens and a rooster.

These are our Light Brahmas. We got a good bloodline with them from a friend. The hens are 8+ lbs. and the rooster is 12-15+. George was a bad boy that day.

Here is a more recent picture of George and a Freedom Ranger. He isn't a giant but the table gives some scale. He also know every recipe for chickens that I know. I've explained them to him.

Well the Wyandotte hen decided to be nice and came to the porch to pose for me. Also, another picture of George.

Thank you. I have been following the posts on FB for a couple of years now and have learned a lot. I have only had chickens for almost 3 years this month now. The Wyandotte's turned 3 this month. And I enjoy all of them. The input from people have helped me greatly in taken care of them.
