When we moved into the country a year and a half ago, the first thing our 12 year old son asked for was chickens. Seemed like a good project for a middle school student. After all, there are far worse things he could be doing, right? This was the website I referred him to for research and coop design. He and his older brother designed, built, and added an addition to the coop. He currently has a flock of 15 hens and one rooster. He's hoping some of his hens will hatch out chicks next spring. Thanks for being such a great resource.
