Introductions for first time, help please!

Hi there, like you i too was worrying, as bought 4 new girls, to add. And did not want them bullied. Racked my brain, thinking what can i do. Then in the end, i bought a
playpen. lol Copied a pic, for you to see. It was for bunnys in the garden, lol so i thought give it a go. It worked out brilliant as like you my run, is similiar. So put it in the run outside, and put our 4 new girls in it. We pegged it to the floor with tent pegs, to make it secure. Also used tie cables, and bungee ropes, to secure it to the fence. The reason, we done that, was the cage itself was flimsy. After we done that, it was brilliant. It also
came with sunshade cover, which we used tie cables to secure it, forgot to mention,
the cage itself fits in one another. You can have it round, like in pic, or square. They are
panels, that slot in one another. Like i said, we then used tie cables to hold it secure.
Best thing we bought as, our old girls and new ones, could see each other, but unable to
bully them. Our coops are top and bottom, so in the bottom coop, we made a section,
separate with a wood panel, and wire. So again they would not get bullied. Within 2 weeks, that was it, one day, me + my son, let them all together, and watched them.
Joke was the way they were acting, you swear they all came together, at the same time.
lol And never looked back. lol Thought i tell you, as it solved our problem. Plus, they are
not expensive. Got ours on Amazon. Just look for bunnys playpen. lol Also love your
pics. Good luck.

So, can I leave the trio in the dog crate in the run without access to the coop for a few days? I’m worried with having so many cockerels right now (again they’re only 8 weeks old, well this weekend 9 weeks) that the full grown roo will hurt them plus one of my older pullets is currently the top hen of the pecking order- she was putting everyone in their place yesterday and I’m worried she’ll get hurt by the trio since they’re full grown. She’s 13 weeks old this weekend so :idunno

Yes, I think this would be fine for the roo babies for sleeping at night (temporarily)! As long as they're not stuck in there day in and day out they'll be okay for a few nights.

Realistically, we can give you all the advice we've got and you'll end up learning on the job, as you go. I've no doubt that if you've got your eye on them and everyone's best interests at heart you'll figure it out!

I would put the rooster chicks in there, in the dog crate, and get on with your flock with the birds you are going to keep. I think when you take birds out, and add birds in, and do it late in the afternoon, do it all at once, it makes it go better.

But as stated above, each do it their own way.
