Hello!
I’m not new to chickens I grew up with chickens as a child. I have also worked in the poultry industry. I am currently an animal science teacher. This will be the first time I have started my very own backyard flock. 21 days ago, I incubated 12 eggs. We are the new parents of 12 beautiful fuzz balls. We now have 9 Jersey Giants, 1 ameracauna, 2 mystery gray and white fuzz balls. I’m so happy I found this community of like minded chicken lovers. I live with my husband and our 4 children. My oldest is now following his mother’s footsteps and recently left for basic training. Being the animal lovers we are, we have quite a few pets. Our lovely dog Karl, my cat AJ (action Jackson) 2 Ferrets Kodo and Podo, our ball python Ollie, my daughters hamster Nugget, and a very spoiled guinea pig Gizmo. Thank you so much for reading!
