(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new this April to Chicken "Husbandry" LoL
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I started with 6, one of the Easter Eggers was actually a rooster, so I had to rehome him.
(3) What breeds do you have?
A Sapphire Gem (Lynn), an Americauna (Henrietta), an Easter Egger (Princess), and two Lavender Orpingtons (Fredi & Ricky).
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I get to watch and interact with the girls.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Watching Ice Hockey, surfing the internet, gardening, TV & Movies.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live with my partner Nancy, she is retired. I am 58 and work in customer support. We have a 7 year old Poodle Mix.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our, and decided to awesome community?
I have a book Backyard Chickens, and I have stumbled across articles/ posts that are from this site and I decided to join so as to be able to connect with numerous like-minded chicken-philes, many of whom will have more experience in raising chickens.
