UPDATE FOR MRHIENZ! I hatch 2 of 10 IB eggs. Lucky i got any at all to hatch considering the treatment of package by the postal service. I can only hope one is male and the other female.

Both are black with a couple white areas mixed in. Hopefully i can catch you swappig again and claim some more, or get someone with sandhill stock to send me a few hatching eggs.

i bought eggs from mrheinz and the eggs just hatched yesterday! i got five out of the ten - which is awesome (especially considering they spent longer in the mail system than any other group of eggs i've bought - kudos for packing like a champ, mrheinz).

Well I got a call back from Privett hatchery. I asked where they got their original stock and the manager said he didn't know. They have had them for many years.

Are the IBs from Privett any good or would it be a waste of money purchasing from them? Maybe I can order 10 pullets from them and 15 straight run from Sandhill... Thoughts please.

I've only seen pictures of stock from Privett. The cockerel I saw looked nice but the pullet was too dark. Sandhill's web site said their IB were good layers when they lay. Mine have been great layers since they finished their molt. Coloring seemed good on Sandhill's IB. Anybody else?
