Iowa Blues - Breed thread and discussion

Working on the photo section of the club's website. Adding an IBCC logo to all photos, trying to minimize risk of photo theft. Some of the photos are from this thread, so if you see a photo of yours on the site and wish it not to be present, please let me know and I'll take it off.

I would really love to have some nice, new, good quality photos for the site from other people, if anyone is interested in submitting some. I am especially lacking in good representation of nice birchens. I hate to make the site photo heavy on my own photos, but that's mostly what I have access to right now.

So, come on photo bugs, would love some more photos of nice, mature, good representations of the breed for the site.

Would you want pictures of chicks and juivenilles? Its all I have to offer right now but I'd be happy to share what I have.

There is a chick gallery, too, so plenty of room. I haven't included much in the way of juvenile photo as they kind of go through an ugly duckling stage. If you have some pretty chick or juvie photos, feel free to email them to me. I can't post all photos, but would really like to have a selection from a variety of people up on the site. Will pick out some choice shots to showcase.

I'm thinking of adding a showcase photo to the site that changes periodically, too, but still working on that thought process and best way to implement.

Can also use photos to put up periodically on the facebook page for the IBCC, to keep some fresh content going.

Also wanted to share that some ribbons are on order for the upcoming shows for the classes, varieties, and for breed with a rosette for Best of Breed.
Anyone interested in participating in setting up materials for a display at the upcoming shows let me know. Both NIPA and EIPA have offered to let us showcase the breed, so anyone wishing to help decorate, or with ideas for the display, we welcome the participation! Would love to have at least a poster (or trifold posterboard) with fun facts, photos, etc. A brochure would be lovely, as well.

Entries are due soon for the NIPA show and the Wisconsin International Poultry Association show here, which is also a big one closer to my neck of the woods.

I think that a poster would be neat, along with brochures available for the taking. I'd like to help but with school starting soon I probably won't be able to.

I'm building my website right now, does anyone have some adult pictures of Iowa Blues I can use for the time being? I'll give full credit to the owner. Thanks!

Thanks Connie I have a rough version of the website up here www.rosewoodpoultry.weebly.com. Can someone who's good with weebly we please tell me how to do a drop bar under the breed tab? Computers are not my forte...

Make a page in the pages tab just place it under the Breeds page and slide it a little to the right, it'll subset it. It should automatically add it to the bar as a drop down but you can choose in the pages section to not have it show if you don't want to.
