I've wondered about e-fowl too, however the page says they have no plans to carry IBs.

When ordering from a hatchery, who's IBs would you say are the best? It seems like Sand Hill, but am I wrong?

Smartie pants! Are they worth getting? Loganisle is looking for more, but sand hill has a 25 chick minimum.
I'm sure they are fuzzy.

I inuired about E-fowl's source last year, I think. Was told they drop shipped from elsewhere, think it was Ideal, but not sure.

I have not ordered from Ideal, so have no opinion.

Sandhill's chicks arrived to me in good condition, were a split between birchen and silver-penciled, and had no troubles with them. I plan to order more from them this season, as I lost a good portion of them last year (nothing related to their quality, hubby decided to gas them cooking air in teflon).

You guys have been very, very busy! As to the name, honestly, I have little preference - probably the simpler the better.

Hurley, thank you for the pics, the work on the SOP and website!

My three from Mr. Heinz are doing very well - I will try to get pics up ( I know promising for a while). There is a bit of a size variation between the three and the largest are keeping up with the orpington chicks that are a week older. Cute little buggers, but feel like I need to find some more hatching eggs to give me a bit more to work with.

My recent conversation with Ideal doesn't give me warm fuzzies about them. They told me you will get a variety of color and type. It's something to start with anyway

If you want chicks from Sandhill, order early! I ordered in May when I lost most of my original flock and they never did have chicks for me. They refunded my money at least.
