Specifically how old? I use an iPhone SE occasionally (I am currently using it.) and I updated it to iOS 13 a few days ago. Would that work?

I don't know...the clip I saw on my news this morning about this mentioned only "older" versions.

Older could mean last year's model.

I have an iPad that won't update anymore. I mostly use it for Youtube/music.

From what I understand if you can't install this update the device's WILL NOT connect to the internet anymore...after Friday.
No internet means no YouTube.
