Irritated feet

It looked like one scale was, we looked all over her today for mites didn't see any. The Feed store recommended putting down Diatomaceous Earth for them to dust bath in.

Feather mites are different from scaly leg mites which I don't think are visible at a glance. I used Castor Oil massaged into the skin to suffocate them. Works good and not as messy as vaseline for example.

Went back tonight to Pine shavings like you would use in horse stalls. Prior we were using pine but they are real fine. Thank you for helping. Nice to meet you.

The second to last picture you uploaded....those legs/feet look pretty swollen.
Have you checked the bottom of the feet for bumble foot?

No wounds, no swelling on the pad on the bottom, doesn't seem to be tender.

Thank you for your help, definitely going to oil their legs, and look for something to treat the roosts.
