hi everyone,
Is 12 chicks too many for a broody hen to raise?? My hen is a full grown Black Aussie and she is very large. She has also been a Mom of 6 before.
Thanks

hmmm i think she will be fine. As a matter of fact i have seen broody hen's with 15+ little followers and they all kept them in line. G/l with your new little clan!

Well, since you know it'll be okay, you should go on and post some pics for us!

OK so chicks are ordered BUT.......... we wanted so many breeds and couldn't resist.....I kept pressing the "add to cart" button and next thing I knew....I had just ordered 16 babies!! Mother's limits will defiantly be stretched or maybe one of my BO will magically go broody too.

i just LOVE BO!!! i'm getting 2 pullets at the end of this month. i'm gonna name them Nessa and Winifred.
