Is 2 geese (hens) a good number/mix?

I hope to get 2 cotton patch geese this spring and want hens. Is that a good idea and if they lay eggs (which I assume they will) is ok that I'll just keep taking the eggs?

That will work out fine. Don't be surprised if you see them acting like a mated pair during the breeding season. Before I added a gander to my trio of females, two of them paired off, and one would mate the other.

LOL! Not that surprised. They are after all birds. I've hard of fish than can literally change sex in order to fertilize the other's eggs when they lost their one male!
