Hi All - I got Roo at 16 weeks and she is now 20 weeks.

Posted her pic on Facebook someone mentioned she didn't look like a hen?

What do you all think as I live in the city and can't have a rooster. I would like to know sooner than later so that I don't continue to get attached to them

Looks like a pretty pullet to me. The laced wyandottes are SO pretty - but I do hear they're flighty.
She's very pretty.

I have SLW and we sit with them in the evenings to give them snacks. Only one of them has come around to take food out of my hand, and they still don't want to be petted or picked up. Several of the other girls will jump in our laps, allow us to hold them or roost on our arms or pet them... I think it's just the wyandotte demeanor :hit

Be patient.... keep offering treats and eventually they'll decide you aren't dangerous. :D Lol Some girls take longer than others, but you can usually tame them pretty good :)

Mine don’t particularly like being petted but they love to take food and climb on me to escape their run. They finally don’t mind too much being captured and returned.

Agree completely that she is a she.
Thank you for letting me know that expecting to get them to like pets might be expecting too much. Readjusting expectations....
