Is 28% to low??

My humidity is 28%... is that too low?

if you're just setting eggs...I usually keep mine around 34-40%
then at lockdown, jump it up to 55-60%

and I usually have GREAT hatch rates

I've got 17 eggs in a home made fridge bator , the temps steady at 37.5 all the time
With a humidity of 40% that's without any water ie the relative humidiy of the eggs ? I know u can
Up it to 60to 70% by placing a larger dish , is this going to be ok ? I don't use a fan as I turn the eggs

The fan is to make the heat and humidity consistent through out the incubator. Basically so you don't have hot or cool spots. Not a bad thing at all to turn by hand, but just so you know that's basically the purpose of the fan.​
