Is 3 days too old to see if a broody will accept chicks?

Posted earlier that I found one of my EEs on 9 eggs, but I question her broodiness as their was no squawking or pecking when I took the eggs today, from a nest under the roosts, not the nest boxes. I am thinking that if she is still hoarding eggs when my chick order comes in Wed/Thurs I might give her the EE chicks. Will it work with chicks that old? I still will have nearly 30 to brood, but I would like to keep her happy, I really like my EEs. Should I try it?

I've never done it, so take my advice for what it's worth - but i would think that 3 day - olds would work just fine. Just keep a close eye on her and of course, add the babies at night.
