And yes, raised the humidity for lockdown, until then it was between 40 and 50% depending on when I had topped it up.
Am NOT getting a good feeling on these eggs. Would their having come out of a VERY cold chicken house have any bearing on late mortality? They candled just fine going into lockdown.
This is our first resounding failure so am trying to find reasons for it. Usually have 95% hatches or better with our quail.
The turner worked fine but I was advised to take the eggs out of it for hatching as they would hatch better, unlike quail that hatch just fine in an egg cup. Would that have done them any harm?
