Is a RIR w' white legs still a RIR?

All the photos I have seen here show RIR with yellow legs. WE were given a hen and told it was a RIR (and it does look like one) but it has white legs. Thoughts?
Also, she was supposedly laying and hasn't since we brought her home about 2 weeks ago. Thoughts on that one? How can you tell if she's too old to lay?

As for the laying, a lot of times (most of the time?) they will stop laying when they have moved and it can go on for awhile. The legs....I have no idea. Can you post a pic of her?
 
After a hen lays eggs for awhile, her leg color fades, and so does the beak color. It's just the way it works. I have yellow-legged breeds that someone might think had white legs because they are older and the legs have faded. Storey's guide even has a chart that tells what fades first and the progression of body parts that become paler as they lay more and more eggs.
