HI all, does anyone happen to know if American Pussy Willow is edible by goats, rabbits, and chickens? If so what parts? Thanks!

The entire plant is not only non-toxic but useful for many things including as a browse by animals. Chickens can eat the plant with no worries, and goats will likely consume it all.

If you happen to have a toothache, cutting a twig and chewing on it will help reduce the pain. Indians used to make cooking and kitchen implements out of the stems.

If you cut it up for firewood and leave a few pieces behind, when you come back a few weeks or months later, you may find a willow tree starting to grow out of the cut wood you left lying there, the underside already rooted into the soil.
