Is an over grown beak bad?

My aunts hen has a very over grown beak, will this cause issues for the hen? She’s not agressive so we don’t need to worry about her bites hurting

It wouldn't hurt to trim the tip back. If you're familiar with what a quick in a dog or cat's nail looks like, it's much the same with a bird's beak. The clear part at the tip can be filed back with an emery board.

Even if the bird seems to be eating ok, overgrowth is more prone to cracking and chipping, which in the long run can lead to issues.
