Is anyone on the low carb diet?

For folks in danger of health problems related to extra weight, it can be a great thing. For those prone to kidney issues (whether or not they know it) it can be harmful. Which is why a doctor/nutritionist would be a good person to consult.

Also..it takes more fat from your body because your carbs are so low... your body takes your carbs first to keep your body running...so if you are low carb, your body takes fat as its next energy source... so you loose inches/fat faster... IMO

You're pretty right on with your medical advice. Most everything is converted to carbs for the bodies use.

Doctor has me low carbing it because of my thyroid (or lack thereof now). But not the Atkins "trick of the metabolism" type low carb. Lots of veg, fruit, and low fat protein type, low carb. I'm used to it now, but I miss bread sometimes. And I tend to binge on brownies at certain times. Two steps forward one step back, is at least forward progress.
