Hello!
I am new to breeding & selling poultry and am wondering how well people are doing with buying & selling?
I have been watching the for sale sections & it doesn't seem like their is alot of bidding or selling... Is this possibly a slow time?
I don't want to bite off more then I can handle with raising & selling... So much to learn yet I suppose

I find poultry sales always slow down during the winter. The busiest times of year for poultry are spring and summer, and occasionally fall. By March and April you will see quite an increase in sales on this website!

Yeah, I have noticed more hatching eggs for sale too, during the warmer months. As said, give it a little while and you will see quite an increase!!

I haven't really noticed. I don't sell on here much, I do Craigslist a lot, and as soon as they post...they're gone! I sell whatever I have in about 10-15 minutes usually. SO....I guess it depends on WHERE you sell too. I sold a bunch of 8 week olds in December right after Christmas. If you do the work of brooding, they'll sell even in the cold.

Thanx!
Def some of my thought on the whole thing... helps to hear it from those that have been doing it for awhile :-)
and i'm sure you learn the times of the years to hatch more to sell & so forth... I have used craigslist & being I bought my breeds from those on this site I may have to use other sites more to sell, hard to have alot of people selling the same line in one place...
