I am growing cat mint for my cats but read that it can be really beneficial for chickens. If this is true then I'll feed some to my chickens as well as cats.

Mine too! They love all kinds of herbs but won't eat catnip. I'll try at least one more try. But if not, oh well.I have it growing wild next to my coop, and it's one plant that my birds ignore. Try growing some near your coop where your birds free range, if they do, and see if any of them care.
Certainly wouldn't bother feeding it to them!

I believe catmint is different than nip.Mine too! They love all kinds of herbs but won't eat catnip. I'll try at least one more try. But if not, oh well.
