Is cedar coop ok?

What about Thompson Water Seal? My husband is building a new coop and is considering using this on the boards especially the flooring. Has anyone ever heard of results from using this? (LOL please hurry...he's standing over me with a brush ready to paint!!!!) ;)

We have found that our Chickens are pretty tough when it comes to paints and stains but I wouldn't lock my birds up in a confined area until the fumes have dissipated.
Depending on the product and the amount used, it might take hours or days to air out. Thompson's Water Sealer should dry out pretty quick in this summer heat. Good Luck

Thanks...actually he is painting the boards before he puts them up so we know they are dry. My Keets are still in a brooder of sort so I think we'll be okay as far as fumes /odors by the time they get to the coop!:)
