Oh, I am so glad I read this!!! I have one who never "clears the runway" and I've washed, trimmed, without great success - next is mineral oil!!!! I will be so happy if that works! (Yes, I know, I need to get out more) Oh the things we do!!

Thanks for the info. The mineral oil worked great. Sadly the hen passed the next day. But at least she went with a clean bum and some dignity.
