Is Daddy Roo ok with hatching chicks? HELP! I need an answer tonight!

I'd give him a shot my little phoenix mix I was worried he'd be aggressive but he slept over her nest at night watching over her and anything or anyone who came too near would get him runnin at the wire throwing a fit! Then when they were little he would let them eat first watching over them even offering them the "treats" like he did their mother. I think it depends on the roo I've heard stories of a few bad ones but I'd say by and large I'd give em a shot.

My roo was terrible with the chicks. Nasty to me too!

But he did his job and I took him back to Mr. DeGaicomo who took care of him and his brothers. Of course, he ate them one by one and he was so pleased to see the roo back. This weekend, an italian chicken dish!
