Is Duramycin good for preventing infection?

My 2 stupid dogs decided that my hen was a chew toy this morning.

(Time for puppy boot camp!) She has a pretty good sized gash on the back of her neck that I cleaned out really well then super glued the skin back together. I have electrolytes/vitamins/Duramycin in her water and she's in a small-ish dog kennel to discourage her from bobbing her head too much while she's healing. She's acting perfectly normal, and my only real worry is her contracting an infection. Does Duramycin prevent infection? I haven't been able to find a clear answer online. What other steps should I take to prevent infection?

You can also flush the wound with a 50/50 betadine/water mixture and put neosporin on the wound as best as you can.
