Is echinacea safe for chickens to eat?

I have a lot of echinacea in my flower beds and am wondering if it is okay for the chickens? I have read that people use it on sick chickens, but no mention was made of the just eating it when they free range.

You are probably right. I have a yard full of weeds and did not know which ones to feed to my chickens. I finally decided to let them free range and decide for themselves and there were some they would not even touch. Guess that means I will have to pull them lol
