Is Egg Taking Too Long Being Laid?

That's good news. Maybe just a few days break from laying. When you get home I'd go ahead and give her some CG it won't hurt her. If you don't
feel comfortable doing it orally if there is something they love like watermelon etc you can give it that way too. My gander gets a baby aspirin daily for arthritis and he gets it in a piece of bread I wrap the pill in and smooch it around it he has no idea. It will take 2 of you to give a goose something orally and get it in the right place. So far have only had to do my ducks and chickens.
do they get layer or oyster shell. mine all get layer and still eat alot of oyster shell.
We got back super late last night, so I'll be trying to figure out how to give the CG to her this morning! I actually have to give a pain pill from the vet to my other goose twice daily. And he just eats it out of my hand, no issue, hahaha. But I'm worried about having to shoot liquid down her throat, so maybe I'll try it in food instead.(Also, the CG says you have to use it all once it's opened. Is there a way to save the rest of it and not let it go to waste?)

I still can't find an egg anywhere, but it's possible she really buried it in their sleeping pen of straw, but I haven't sifted through it all yet. She seems to be in totally fine spirits though and eating well enough. So how long of a break happens sometimes? If there isn't an egg around here, then she hasn't laid one since Wednesday night, and today is Monday. So that's about 5 days. Can that be normal?

Keep it in the frig. It’s normal for them to take breaks for how long I’ve never actually counted but I know some of my ducks are not laying right now. They take longer breaks the older they get. They take breaks so their body builds back the calcium they need to lay hard shell eggs. I gave you the link on how to give the CG orally? Using a syringe. If she is a fan of fresh chopped tomato’s that would be a way to give it.

If she is not acting off and spending time in the nest just be keep the CG for emergency. It should have an expiration date on it I keep it in the frig. Do you feed layer and offer oyster shell?

Sorry, just to confirm, if it is opened, then it's no good to keep? Or I can open it and keep the rest in the fridge still?

And yes! She has oyster shell free choice and a mixture of layer feed all flock, as well as duck feed because our other (probably male) goose has been really picky, lol.

Update: It's been a week, and she still hasn't laid anything else. But she isn't showing any signs of lethargy, discomfort, lack of appetite, etc. The only thing I've noticed is that her poops have been really watery from when I've seen them at least. They're green from eating grass but not the solid cigarette shapes they normally are. So I'm just not sure whether to be concerned or not. I have a tentative vet appointment tomorrow, but it's 2.5 hours away, and I'd rather not put her through the stress of a long trip if there isn't much to worry about right now.

My geese poop are watery also from drinking so much water. It's so hard to know at times if they are okay.
Sometimes you just have to go by your gut feelings.
Other than not laying and watery poop everything else sounds normal. I know not much help. Sorry.

A little off topic, but would you happen to have a picture of the albendazole container you use? I still need to get some and want to make sure I get the right kind! Thanks!

Someone else must have talked to you about Valbazen, I use Safeguard for goats.
How is your goose doing?
Oh, sorry! I think it must have been Goosebaby then. I couldn't remember which thread I had been told about, lol. But Safeguard for goats works for geese then?

And although she seems well overall with maybe excess watery poop still (at least the ones I happened to see), we decided to take her to the vet today. There wasn't anything outwardly noticeable and no egg inside her from an X-ray, but they did find metal in her, too. Which was the issue with my other goose! I have no idea what metal they're finding, outside of possibly digging it up from the ground when they dig holes. And I don't know if it's actually affecting her poops at all. So they're doing a metal toxicity test, too, so we'll see!

Thank goodness you took her. I hope she can be treated and your other goose is recovering. When it rains here I'm surprised at what washes up out of the ground like metal. yesterday I was out with my birds and looked down and there laid a screw. Wasn't there the day before but we had heavy rain so it washed up from somewhere.
Yes I use Safeguard for goats for worming. Valbazen is a good one too
