is feed gonna go through the roof?

Last year we paid on average $17 for a 50# bag of chicken feed... this year it's $20-22, and going up. I may not be able to continue with the breeding project I just started just because of the feed costs. It's more than I spend on groceries already.

I dislike hoarding....but sold two birds and bought 4 more chiciks and a fifty lb ack of Organic feed,,,
12$ . My friends give me 3-4$ a doz for eggs, pays all the feed costs, including boss and scratch.

I am trying to find a good deal on steel barrels for stocking up on some feed. I am affraid the feed is going to double very soon.

Stored feed is not a good thing,

a months supply would be my limit. Now whole grain is a different thing. When feed is ground it is fresh and ages as days go by.
