Is Grower feed okay to start with for baby chicks? And is it dangerous for them?

That feed should be fine - it even says 'starting chicks' on the label you took a picture of. More likely something else was going on - did your chick have any other symptoms? Where did she come from? How old was she? What breed? All of that might give more info on what caused your chick to pass away.

Again, like others said, it could simply be a defect present at birth that caused one chick to pass away.

Grower shouldn't cause a problem. I've raised chicks on everything from forage and scratch (brood hens do the work of nutrition) to starter, grower, meat bird and even just ground up layer and never had deaths from feed
