Sorry for running here every time I see the slightest thing I don't like but I gotta calm my nerves somehow lol.
So I've been noticing my ducks cage he sleeps in has been smelling really bad quickly lately. And now he is out of his cage and he seems to have really runny, dark brown pooh, and it smells hella bad. Like I wanna throw up when I smell it lol. But it only happens like 3 or 4 times a day when I catch it. Is this normal?

What are you feeding your duck? are you taking your duck out every day for forage time? ducks do have smelly poo just part of being a duck. and it can be all colors and textures too depending on what they have eaten. Can you get some kind of probiotic powder] at your feed store that you can add to their water? that may help a lot. Also try adding some unpasteurized ACV to their drinking water, 1 Tab to 1 gal of water. Other than the 2 things you stated how is your duck? eating good acting normal?

He eats mainly duckling starter feed, but he gets treats of bugs and grass when he goes out everyday, he spends most of his time either in the kitty pool, outside on the front lawn with me, or just roaming around the house with us. Hes eating a lot and he acts fine he runs around all day and doesn't act unnormal .

You could try the probiotic powder from the feed store, but smelly poo just comes with owning ducks, sounds pretty normal to me.

Nettie used to write about the seventh poop. Remember that? It's that really rank poo a few times a day.

Protein increases aroma, and someone here wrote about a certain kind of sprouts helping reduce aroma.
