Is her toe broken?

I will say though that I just looked up clipping duck nails on this site this last weekend. My duck Penny's nails grow and grow and I guess she just isn't active enough to keep them down. My husband trimmed them a tiny bit and this is what they look like now. They need another trim I think, but we nervous to take too much off initially.

Wow, Penny! Those are some epic nails! At least they are clear so you can see them well. My experience with duck nails is that the blood supply is much easier to hit than with cats or dogs.

For sure! My dog has black nails surrounded by lots of black fur. So hard to trim those!!
