I agree with the majority, I too think its a rooster, but surprised he has not crowed yet. The feathers around the neck is what makes me think its a roo. Beautiful chicken tho.

Well if you didn't know sex, obviosly he didn't crow yet? He may be a keeper. And a sweetheart if he can be picked up!

I'm also in the minority, but this chicken looks like my 6-month old girls. I have a rooster of the same age and there is NO QUESTION about whether or not he's a rooster. His comb and wattles are much more developed then the one in the picture. Crowing would be the ultimate evidence though.
