Hello Everyone,

In March, we picked up 6 chickens from our local IFA. Let me clarify, my husband went and picked up 6 and told the guy to give him 6 of the best laying chicks. Out of the 6, one for sure is a rooster, as he has started to sing the song of his people. That being said, my one hen seems to be taking on cockerel like characteristics. I have attached a photo of our rooster Albus along with a photo of Hermione and MJ. Am I wrong? Is she a hen? We have to rehome the rooster as we are not allowed roosters in our area, but if I have to rehome more then one....well, I'm going to be gutted.

yep. 1st: is a red sex link cockerel

3rd production red pullet!
very close too if not already laying[/QUOTE]

Thank you! So she is a hen, that takes a load off of my shoulders. Her waddle started growing and so did her comb and I was freaking out.

#1 is for sure a cockerel
#2 can you take another pic of it with its whole body showing?
#3 is a girl, is that her back end in the 2nd pic?

I will try to get a better photo of her, she doesn't like the click of the camera so she moves every time I snap a photo. Yes, that is her hiney in the second photo.
