Is it a Roo or Hen?

OK, Ellie or Elliot depending on its a hen or roo.

She is just about 4 months now and this morning he/she let out many loud NAAAY noises while raising her head to the sky. It wasn't a Cockadoodle Doo, but a braying noise. I had to bring him/her into the house this morning so that we do not disturb the neighbors. I heard that Silkies have a funny crow. Any help would be great. Below are some pics. Ellie is a black Silkie with irridescent blue tail and wing feathers.

I truly do not know much about silkies - I just got a pair myself but from the pic and what you are saying about the crow, I would guess it is an Elliot. My roo has a really funny choked chicken sounding crow...too funny!

I also don't know much about silkies but based on the wattle development, I'd guess boy on this one.

I'm thinking Roo aswell. I've got silkies and although they are difficult to sex, you can tell more by observing their mannerisms. If its lifting its head and attempting to make a noise, then you can be 100% certain its all Roo!!

I am going with roo also. He has pretty big wattles and comb. Pretty bird also.
