Is it a "SHE" or a "HE"???

Hello!

I ordered 5 pullets from the hatchery. They are 5 weeks old. The one I am questioning is the same size as the rest but the comb is MUCH bigger and brighter than the rest. Could she be a he? I am really hoping she is a she....

Teach me...how could you tell he was a cockerel?

I noticed how big and red his comb is but is there anything else about him that tipped you off?

It was the big red comb at his age. Girls don't start developing their combs until they are almost ready to lay, usually about 14 to 18 weeks old. Anything with a bright pink comb before 10 weeks old is a boy.
