Last year we introduced some new birds to our flock. We quickly realised that they had a disease which infected all the others. We still don't know exactly what the disease was at the typical meds didn't fix it.
The birds got tired, raspy, junk in their eyes, stopped eating and drinking. We lost a couple, but our quick action saved the rest - we ended up injecting every bird every day with Tylan (i think!).
Our birds are now carriers and as a result, we are not adding anymore birds again. One hen still coughs as a result, but has no other side effects.
However, the last couple days i have noticed one other (not the coughing one) being really lethargic. Just now she is sitting sleeping in the run. I let them out to play and she came out too and joined in with the others. But when back in the run, is falling asleep again.
So, is this something to worry about? Can i help her? Anything else to check for?
