Is it bad if they won't roost?

My four 8-week old girls just won't roost. They sleep in a pile on the floor of the coop near the door. I've tried to put them up on the roost bars at bedtime and they tolerate me look kindly at me and then hop off and go back to their pile. Does it matter?
